Telehealth Consent
Last updated: June 2026
Telehealth involves the use of video, phone, or secure messaging to deliver healthcare remotely. By consenting to virtual care at The Matrix Health, you acknowledge that you understand the risks, benefits, and alternatives to this form of care.
The benefits include convenient access to care from home, reduced travel time, and timely follow-up. However, there are risks, including technology failures, potential privacy breaches (though we use secure, encrypted platforms), and the inability to perform a complete physical exam. Some conditions may still require an in-person visit, and you have the right to choose in-person care instead of virtual care at any time.
You also have the right to withdraw your consent for telehealth at any point. This consent will be documented in your medical record, and you may request a copy at any time.
